In early February, the Florida Society of Clinical Oncology & Asociacion de Hematologia y Oncologia Medica de PR is hosted the 14th Annual Puerto Rico Oncology Symposium. This 1-1/2-day conference is designed to serve as a forum for networking and exchanging clinical and scientific advances among students, residents, fellows, and faculty involved in cancer care and cancer research in PR and mainland USA. The conference provided practicing medical oncologists and cancer researchers with updates on treatments for selected cancers and recent research on cancer disparities, as well as the opportunity to share best practices and collaborate on improving patient outcomes.
