Pharmacy Fellow Specialty Liaison

I am a PGY1 pharmacy resident at UF Health Shands, Gainesville, Florida. I am pursuing a PGY2 in oncology. Oncology pharmacy is one of the most rewarding practices in medicine to be an integral part of modern patient care. The Florida Society of Clinical Oncology (FLASCO) offers a scholarship opportunity for FLASCO member physicians in training, pharmacy residents, and pharmacy students to cover expenses to attend the fall session meeting. I was selected to receive the 2022 Travel Award and attended the FLASCO Fall Session at the Marriott Orlando World which provided me with unique experience, personal growth that will enhance my future career as a future oncology pharmacist. I strived to serve as a board liaison with FLASCO state organization, allowing me to voice the needs of pharmacy students and enjoy connecting them with mentors that promote the oncology profession with a burning passion for the field of oncology. Collectively, my experiences have deepened my desire to excel in the profession and gain the knowledge along with skills necessary to become a well-rounded oncology pharmacist and leader.
