Kristen Boykin, PharmD, BCOP, BCPS is the Director of Pharmacy Operations at Florida Cancer Specialists and Research Institute (FCS). She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Zoology from Miami University (Oxford, Ohio) and her Doctor of Pharmacy from Palm Beach Atlantic University (West Palm Beach, Florida). She completed her post graduate year 1 (PGY1) pharmacy practice residency at Cleveland Clinic Florida (CCF) and an American Society of Health-System Pharmacists’ Oncology Patient Care traineeship at the University of Washington and the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. She holds dual certifications in both oncology (BCOP) and pharmacotherapy (BCPS) and is also a licensed consultant pharmacist.

Prior to joining FCS, Kristen was the Lead Clinical Oncology Pharmacy Specialist in charge of infusion services at CCF’s Maroone Cancer Center and Tomsich Family Health Center. During her 10 years there, she worked to streamline workflows to maximize efficiencies and improve employee engagement by promoting a team-focused culture. During her time with CCF, she also had the opportunity to serve as a course instructor at Palm Beach Atlantic University’s Lloyd L. Gregory School of Pharmacy and as preceptor of pharmacy practice residents and pharmacy advanced practice students from both PBA and Nova Southeastern University.

Kristen joined the Pharmacy Operations team at FCS in October 2019 as a Clinical Oncology Pharmacist where she provided senior clinical support and education to staff, helped to expand pharmacy services, and worked collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to implement and maintain continuous quality improvement strategies that mitigate the risk of drug errors. In January 2021, Kristen was promoted to Director of Pharmacy Operations. In this role, Kristen continues to expand on PharmOps’ tradition of improving outcomes thru education, open dialogue, and implementation of best practices.
