Dr. Estelamari Rodriguez is Associate Director of Community Outreach and Clinical Research Lead of the Thoracic Site Disease Group of the NCI-designated Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. She was recently appointed as Assistant Director of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at Sylvester Cancer Center. She has a special interest in cancer disparities research, early phase clinical trials and is an active member of the Experimental Therapeutics Program at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. Dr. Rodriguez is a nationally recognized patient advocate and actively involved in national organizations like American Cancer Society, ASCO, National Lung Cancer Roundtable, and the Association of American Cancer Institutes. Dr. Rodriguez has published and given numerous lectures as invited speaker on issues related to lung cancer and healthcare disparities. As a FLASCO member, she has worked as moderator and speaker for the Early Lung Cancer Summit and Cancer Disparities and Health Equity Summit. She is also a mentor for medical students, trainees and junior faculty.
