Dr. Dumercy McHenry is currently the Director of Pharmacy at the Miami Cancer Institute. She received her Doctorate of Pharmacy from Florida A & M University and completed a Pharmacy Practice Residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital. After her residency she completed an ASHP Oncology Patient Care Traineeship at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. She is dually Board Certified in Oncology Pharmacy and Pharmacotherapy.
Dr. Dumercy McHenry has over 20 years of experience in Hematology Oncology in a variety of settings. She currently serves as the co-chair of the MCI Oncology P&T Committee and is a former program director for an Oncology PGY2 pharmacy residency. She is in process of starting a new PGY2 Pharmacy residency program in Investigational Drugs and Research at BHSF. She is an active member of several professional societies including HOPA, FLASCO Board of Directors, NCODA and ACCC. She has a passion for educating patients and caregivers about cancer treatment, patient safety, advancing the oncology pharmacy practice and increasing cancer awareness.
