- Diversity & Inclusion
Gateway for Cancer Research℠ is investing up to $1.5 million to create a more diverse oncology workforce and expand clinical trial access for patients from underserved and minority communities.
The Gateway Discovery Grant, administered by Conquer Cancer®, the ASCO Foundation, will provide funding to catalyze innovative clinical research with a strong potential impact on mitigating health disparities. Projects can span three-to five-years.
Clinical trials funded by a Discovery Grant may be focused to study any cancer type, but applications must propose research that focuses on reducing disparities in minority and health disparity populations and improving equitable access to care for all people facing cancer.
Letters of Intent are due April 15 by 11:59 PM (ET).
The Gateway Discovery Grant Program is an initiative designed to identify compelling areas of inquiry in the field of cancer research and to fund the talented clinician-scientists best positioned to pursue the studies.
Conquer Cancer is the scientific partner for the Gateway Discovery Grant Program and will provide scientific expertise and peer review. Gateway for Cancer Research is the grantor and provider of funding for the research grant.
