Lake Mary, FL – October 31st, 2017The Florida Cancer Specialists (FCS) Foundation is excited to announce that Florida Cancer Specialists’ physicians, Drs. Jennifer Cultrera, Maria Regina Flores, Meera Iyengar and Sonalee K. Shroff will serve as Honorary Chairs for Wine, Women & Shoes in Lake Mary, Florida. The event will be held on November 4th, 2017 from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Westin Lake Mary, Orlando North located at 2974 International Pkwy, Lake Mary, FL 32746.

Wine Women & Shoes is the fastest-growing charity event series created for and by women in the United States. Since its inception, these major annual fundraisers – held in more than 20 markets across the country – have raised over $50,000,000 for charitable causes nationally. The Foundation’s Wine Women & Shoes event will have a “Girls’ Night Out” theme that will feature a marketplace of boutique “storefronts,” where attendees can shop for shoes, jewelry and other fashion accessories while sampling wines from around the country. Guests will enjoy a live and silent auction, a photo shoot area, and a fun, spirited “Key to the Closet” raffle to win a closetful of fashion accessories, gift certificates and a fashion show by Bloomingdale’s.

All proceeds will benefit the FCS Foundation, which provides financial assistance for non-medical living expenses to qualified cancer patients who are currently undergoing treatment in Florida. The FCS Foundation’s overhead is paid by the physician partners at Florida Cancer Specialists, so 100% of donations (net of events) benefit cancer patients in need.

Foundation Board Chair and CEO of Florida Cancer Specialists, Brad Prechtl said, “Wine, Women and Shoes is one of the premiere charity events in the nation. We are thrilled to present the event and we hope that in addition to raising funds, it will raise awareness of the Foundation’s mission, which is to assist cancer patients with essential non-medical living expenses.”

When asked about her role as Honorary Chair, Dr.  Jennifer Cultrera said, “I am grateful to serve as the Honorary Chair of an event that makes a difference in the lives of patients and their families affected by cancer. As an oncologist, I see the impact cancer has on patients and their families.”
