Welcomes New Physician in Lee County
Fort Myers, FL – August 1, 2017. . . Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute (FCS), the leading community oncology/hematology practice in the state, is pleased to announce that Liliana Bustamante, MD has joined the practice and is seeing patients at three FCS Locations in Lee County; Dr. Bustamante will practice at the Cay West office, located at 1708 Cape Coral Pkwy West, Suite 10, Cape Coral, FL, the Colonial office at 8931 Colonial Center Drive, Suite 300, Fort Myers, FL and at the North Fort Myers Cancer Center, located at 1030 Commerce Creek Blvd., Cape Coral, FL.

After earning her medical degree from University of Florida, College of Medicine in Gainesville, FL, Dr. Bustamante completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, NC. In 2014, she was awarded a Fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at the University of South Florida / Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL.
A native Spanish speaker, Dr. Bustamante has a keen interest in clinical research and has presented at various medical meetings, including the 2015 International Society of Geriatric Oncology’s Annual Conference in Prague and the Annual Scientific Session of the North Carolina Chapter of the American College of Physicians. Dr. Bustamante has also written several book chapters and has been published in several peer-reviewed journals.
