COA Applauds FTC Report Detailing Impact of PBMs

COA

COA applauds the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) for today’s release of an interim report
examining the negative impact of pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs) on the accessibility and
affordability of prescription drugs. The interim FTC report details what COA has long known

80 percent of all prescriptions filled in the United States, and pharmacies affiliated with the
three largest PBMs now account for almost 70 percent of all specialty drug revenue. This
vertical and horizontal PBM consolidation has resulted in increased costs to patients and the
closure of independent pharmacies. For more information, you can Read More HERE>>
