ASCO Urges Congress to Prioritize Federal Cancer Research in FY 2025

ASCO thanks lawmakers for their bipartisan support of federal cancer research in the House
Appropriations Committee’s Labor-HHS draft bill for Fiscal Year 2025. ASCO urges increases
in funding for the National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Cancer Institute (NCI), and
other agencies to further advance scientific research. For FY 2025, the House is allocating
$48.581 billion for NIH, which is level with FY 2024 funding. For NCI, appropriators
