“Evaluating the Impact of Philadelphia‐like Genetic Signature on Transplant Outcomes in Adults
with B‐Lymphoblastic Leukemia/Lymphoma and Identification of Novel Fusion Partners”
Dr. Zaid Abdel Rahman is an active FLASCO member, second‐year hematology and medical oncology fellow at Mayo Clinic Florida. He graduated from the Hashemite University in Jordan in 2013 and completed his internal medicine residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI in 2018. He subsequently joined Mayo Clinic Florida for his subspecialty training. His main research focus is acute leukemia, myeloid neoplasms and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. He also has a deep passion for hematopathology and was appointed as an instructor in the department of pathology and laboratory medicine at Mayo clinic Florida where he organizes weekly hematopathology conferences. He also has a special interest in the biological drivers behind different hematologic malignancies and leukemogenesis and his work was recognized by several national societies. He is also the recipient of the 2019 Conquer Cancer Foundation of ASCO Howard Lessener’s Endowed Merit Award among many others.
